Apologies were received from Councillor Richard Mills and Councillor Peter Curling. Councillors Edward Lavery and Beulah East substituted for them respectively.

Declarations of Interest in Matters coming before this meeting

Minutes:

Councillor Wayne Bridges declared a non-pecuniary interest in Item 14 on the Cabinet agenda, as a Club Member at the Royal Naval Association. He remained in the room during the discussion on the item.

The minutes of the meeting held on 16 November 2017 were agreed as a correct record.

To confirm that the items of business marked Part I will be considered in public and that the items marked Part II will be considered in private.

Items were agreed to be considered in public and private as per their confirmed status on the Cabinet agenda and Cabinet's decisions on the night.

To hear the Call-In of any decisions made at the Cabinet meeting prior to this meeting or made by Cabinet Members, other Council Committees or a delegated officer and published within five working days of this meeting.

 

Members should bring their Cabinet agenda to the meeting.

 

Members should consider any other decision published in the five working days before this meeting.

 

The purpose of this meeting is to decide whether to refer back any decision to the decision maker.

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the Cabinet reports of 14 December 2017 and the decisions made by Cabinet on them earlier that evening. It was noted that the decisions on the Cabinet’s budget proposals took immediate effect to ensure they could be published for consultation and considered by the Policy Overview Committees. After careful consideration, the Committee decided not to call-in any other decision made by the Cabinet.

 

RESOLVED: – That the decisions made by the Cabinet at their meeting on 14 December 2017 be endorsed and that no scrutiny call-in be made.
