Reviewing the annual report from the Hillingdon Local Childrens Safeguarding Board, the Committee agreed to receive further information on children that had gone missing in the Borough. On the budget monitoring report considered by Cabinet, the Committee sought clarification on whether Early Intervention Funding was going to be a growing pressure on the High Needs Block within the Dedicated Schools Budget. The Labour Group queried the application of the 90% relative fees and charges policy on Cabinet’s decision to uprate the cost of homecare charges to the actual cost incurred by the Council for those who do not require financial support. Finally, the Committee indicated their unanimous support for the new Domestic Violence contractual arrangements approved by Cabinet, which it believed would improve service delivery to those affected.

RESOLVED: – That the decisions made by the Cabinet at their meeting on 25 October 2018 be endorsed and that no call-in be made.
