Councillor Peter Money declared a non-pecuniary interest in Item 6 - Cranford Park Delivery Stage - as a Member of the Cranford Park Friends Group. He remained in the room for the discussion and vote on the item.

Consideration of Executive Decisions Taken and any Call-Ins pdf icon PDF 106 KB

To undertake the statutory scrutiny role of executive decision-making by the London Borough of Hillingdon, and in particular to review decisions made by the Cabinet prior to this meeting. Members should consider any other decision taken by a Cabinet Member(s) or key decision taken by an Officer published in the five working days before this meeting.

 

Minutes:

Members had joined the live virtual Cabinet meeting held prior so that they could fully review the Cabinet reports and decisions made.

 

On the Cranford Park Delivery Stage project, Members welcomed the project and expressed their thanks to the officers involved. The Committee sought clarification on the engagement of local schools as the project progresses.

 

On the Council’s monthly budget monitoring report, the Committee sought clarification on 4 matters:

 

1.    The additional borrowing set out in the Treasury Management Update and also bail-in risks, including a request to provide such information in a plain English format;

 

2.    Whether the large variances in the General Fund Capital Programme for service provision and Prudential Borrowing were COVID-19 related;

 

3.    The funding for the annual Trees for Cities partnership agreement and;

 

4.    The deferral of £1m from the Schools Capital Programme for Specialist Resource Provision and what impact this would have.

 

RESOLVED: – That the decisions made by the Cabinet at their virtual meeting on 23 July 2020 be endorsed and that no call-in be made.
