Consideration of Executive Decisions Taken and any Call-Ins PDF 106 KB To undertake the statutory scrutiny role of executive decision-making by the London Borough of Hillingdon, and in particular to review decisions made by the Cabinet prior to this meeting. Members should consider any other decision taken by a Cabinet Member(s) or key decision taken by an Officer published in the five working days before this meeting.
Minutes: Members had watched the virtual Cabinet meeting held prior so that they could review the Cabinet reports and decisions made.
On the Hillingdon Safeguarding Annual Report, Members sought confirmation that all the recommendations in the Serious Case Review of child X by Jane Wonnacott published in December 2019 had been addressed.
Submitted outside the meeting, but agreed by the Committee, the Representative Member for Education Issues queried what the Council was doing in respect of training for Career Advisers in respect of Looked After Children.
On the Monthly Budget Monitoring Report, the Committee asked how had the 17.5% growth in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in Hillingdon been contributed to by the backlog and how many cases were still outstanding?
RESOLVED: – That the decisions made by the Cabinet at their meeting on 22 October 2020 be endorsed and that no call-in be made. |
