Apologies were received from Councillor Money and he was substituted by Councillor Dhillon.

Declarations of Interest in Matters coming before this meeting

Minutes:

Councillor Curling declared a non-pecuniary interest in Item No. 8 on the Cabinet agenda – WWI Memorial and plaque (Triptych) at St Martin's Church in West Drayton - due to a relative being named on the War Memorial.

Consideration of Executive Decisions Taken and any Call-Ins pdf icon PDF 93 KB

To undertake the statutory scrutiny role of executive decision-making by the London Borough of Hillingdon, and in particular to review decisions made by the Cabinet prior to this meeting. Members should consider any other decision taken by a Cabinet Member(s) or key decision taken by an Officer published in the five working days before this meeting.

 

Minutes:

Members had watched the Cabinet meeting held prior so that they could review the Cabinet reports and decisions made.

 

The Committee sought clarification on the following reports and matters:

 

1.    Budget monitoring report – information on the income maintained schools have lost from lettings and expenditure that may not be refunded by central Government.

 

Mr Little raised a number of education related budget matters which the Chairman advised would be best considered at a meeting of the Residents, Education and Environmental Services Policy Overview Committee in January 2021 when considering the budget proposals.

 

Councillor Curling made the point that the materials used to prepare the ‘We Will Remember Them’ book did include the Triptych at St Martin's Church in West Drayton and the Chairman indicated he would liaise with the Leader of the Council regarding this point.

 

RESOLVED: – That the decisions made by the Cabinet at their meeting on 10 December 2020 be endorsed and that no call-in be made.
