Speed restrictions - New Peachey Lane

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to install speed restrictions in the road & update the speed signage on New Peachey Lane, Cowley.

The speeds at which vehicles travel down this road are beyond dangerous. Not only is this a densely populated road, with a large amount of cars parked on either side of the street, this is also a popular walking route for St Laurence primary school on Worcester Road.

There are daily occurrences & near-misses involving both vehicular damage & injury to people.

A petition on this matter was thrown out before, due to this road being used by emergency services - some of the roads adjacent to Hillingdon hospital and Yiewsley High Street have speed humps & they are much more regularly used for emergency services. This is no longer a valid excuse not to help to control the speed of traffic on this road.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.
