Uxbridge library relocation (Application No. 14805/APP/2024/956)

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to Whilst the improvements to the facilities at the proposed library are welcome, little or no evidence has been provided to demonstrate that these facilities adequately replace the facilities provided at the current location.

Whilst the improvements to the facilities at the proposed library are welcome, little or no evidence has been provided to demonstrate that these facilities adequately replace the facilities provided at the current location. NURA therefore objects to the proposed relocation of the library on the grounds that it fails to comply with Policy DMCI 1 of Local Plan Part 2 which states that any replaced community facility must provide a level of accessibility and standard of provision at least equal to that of the existing facility.

On reaching 20 signatures it may be considered in conjunction with the relevant live planning application at an upcoming Committee meeting. The Council's Democratic Services Team will be in touch with the lead petitioner to advise and take this petition forward accordingly.
