Speed Bumps on Pole Hill Road

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to please put in place traffic measures, preferably speed bumps on Pole Hill Road in order to ensure safety of vehicles and residents.

We moved to Pole Hill Road in the year 2001 and since then we as a family have personally experienced 7 different occasions where our parked cars have been rammed into or our side mirrors have been smashed because of the high speeds that cars drive at when going down Pole Hill Road. Over the years the road has become very busy as a few apartments have been built which has resulted in more cars being parked out on the road so the road has actually become quite narrow since there is now more cars parked on both sides. Often at times big lorries have to knock on residential homes to ask them to move their vehicles because they are unable to squeeze through. There has also been times where I have witnessed cars almost running residents over as they have tried crossing the road because of the high speed they are driving at. I am sure many of the residents on Pole Hill Road will agree that speed bumps will benefit the community tremendously.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.
