Petition against application at 31 Frithwood Ave - proximity near primary school

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to - Consider the location of the care home so close to Frithwood Primary School - and review the potential impact to the young children, their families and the staff. - Investigate the use of the above property and seek confirmation that the property is not being used, and will not be used in the future, to house residents with significant behavioural or complex needs which will affect the local community. - Review whether the 6/7 self-contained units gives potential for Class C2 use now or in the future. - Give Frithwood Primary School parents/carers reassurance and confirmation that there will not be any impact to the families, staff and local community.

Re: Planning Application: 8032/APP/2020/2810

- In 2018, the owner applied to convert the mentioned property into a care home for adults with significant additional needs, including dual-diagnosis impairments.

- This was rejected by the Council for reasons including the close proximity to the school and the potential safeguarding issues for Frithwood School pupils, families and staff.

- The owners are now applying for retrospective structural changes but they have already converted this property into a 'care home for adults with behavioural and complex needs'.

- Neighbours are already suffering noise and anti-social behaviour from the property's residents.

- This petition is not against the need for a care home in the community, but is petitioning against the proximity to the school for the reasons mentioned above.

On reaching 20 signatures it may be considered in conjunction with the relevant live planning application at an upcoming Committee meeting. The Council's Democratic Services Team will be in touch with the lead petitioner to advise and take this petition forward accordingly.
