To consider the annual report detailing the Standards and Ethics indicators for the authority (attached)

Minutes:

The Committee considered the annual report detailing a range of standards and ethics indicators for the authority for the calendar year 2020. Whilst Members were pleased to note the high level of compliance amongst both Members and officers to the rules surrounding declarations of interest etc. the Committee were keen to ensure that a) the authority were able to learn lessons from Ombudsman findings against the Council and b) that employment tribunal cases against the authority involving allegations of race and / or disability discrimination were closely monitored. Officers were instructed to ensure these concerns were fed back to officers.
