Consideration of Executive Decisions Taken and any Call-Ins To undertake the statutory scrutiny role of executive decision-making by the London Borough of Hillingdon, and in particular to review decisions made by the Cabinet prior to this meeting. Members should consider any other decision taken by a Cabinet Member(s) or key decision taken by an Officer published in the five working days before this meeting.
Minutes: Members gave consideration to the Cabinet reports of the 24 October 2019 meeting and the decisions made by Cabinet on them earlier that evening.
On the Annual Local Safeguarding Children’s Board Report, the Committee agreed to record its thanks to Mr Stephen Ashley, Chairman of the Board, for his excellent work leading safeguarding arrangements over the last few years, as new arrangements are implemented going forward. On the report itself, clarification was sought on what more the Council could do to encourage all schools to participate in the Section 175 Safeguarding Audit.
On the report on the School Capital Programme Update, the Committee requested more information in the purpose and status of the proposed SEN hub in the Borough.
RESOLVED: – That the decisions made by the Cabinet at their meeting on 24 October 2019 be endorsed and that no call-in be made. |
