Child Safety Road Traffic Sign - Brambles Farm Drive

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to address the pressing need for a child safety road traffic sign at the entrance of Brambles Farm Drive. The absence of appropriate signage jeopardises the safety of our young residents and creates an unsafe environment for pedestrians. Implementing this sign will not only enhance road safety but also demonstrate the council's commitment to the well-being of our community's children. Your swift action in erecting this sign is crucial for preventing potential accidents and ensuring a secure neighbourhood for all.

The concerning trend of vehicles entering Brambles Farm Drive from the main road, Uxbridge Road, and driving recklessly at high speeds into the Cul-De-Sac is alarming. This hazardous behaviour poses a significant risk to the safety of children who frequently play on the field and even venture onto the road. Urgent intervention is required to prevent potential accidents and create a secure environment for our children. Implementing traffic calming measures or speed enforcement in this area is essential to deter such dangerous driving practices and ensure the well-being of our community's youth.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.
