Parking issues - Laurel Lane, West Drayton

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to Address the issues experienced by residents of Laurel Lane with regard to the lack of parking, by means of regulation for non-residents.

Laurel Lane is a busy road, The on-street parking services not only the residents who do not have access to off-street parking but also 2 schools, a pub, shops & cafe.

9 houses are unable to have off-street parking due to the green verge area, so rely on on-street parking.

The laybys which run from the zebra crossing to the shops (bus stops) are frequently utilised by airport parking companies, who park customer's cars for weeks/months on end.

Airport users also leave their cars for long periods of time & catch the U3 bus to the airport.

This means residents regularly return home & find they cannot park.
Visitors, delivery drivers & tradespeople cannot park.
Customers of the shops & cafe cannot park.

A section of Harmondsworth Road is a Controlled Zone for similar reasons, Laurel Lane residents, visitors & businesses would benefit from prohibiting long-term parking by non-residents.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.
