Request for parking restrictions for non-residents on Bromley Crescent, Ruislip Gardens, HA4

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to introduce parking restrictions on Bromley Crescent. Non-residents from nearby, school and park users have been taking advantage of Bromley Crescent to block access gates and garages to park for free and leave their vehicles parked all day as there are no other areas to park nearby as they all have restrictions. Currently, the road does not have a yellow line and school & park users come and park all day and night causing the road to become extremely congested by inconveniently parking and blocking driveway access for residents. This situation has progressively been becoming worse and given the roads close proximity to the underground station and shops, there appears to be more people trying to take advantage of this road. This has led to a number of incidents whereby large vehicles such as vans, lorries and ambulances are unable to access the road as there is very little room to manoeuvre between parked vehicles on either side. Further, often drivers cannot see oncoming t

We propose that the road has parking restrictions on all parts of the road - either by having yellow lines and restrictions put in place between 7am - 10am and 2pm - 5pm which are school hours or by introducing a residents permit only parking scheme.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.
