HMO Petition

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to We, the undersigned residents on Edgar Road, Yiewsley, are petitioning against any further HMOs' Licensed or Unlicensed. We ask the Council to immediately introduce the licensing scheme that was passed in the house last July 2024. This petition is intended to urge the Council to implement the proposed legislation to remedy the impact of HMOs' are having on our street. Residents have experienced anti social behaviour, increased litter and waste, and a negative impact on parking and on our utilities.

In Edgar Road there are currently 4 HMOs' of which only 1 has a license, and currently another is being developed into a 7 bedroom HMO, which will make 5 HMOs' in a street with only 66 properties, ie almost 10%, in what was a quiet residential street.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.

This ePetition runs from 20/03/2025 to 20/04/2025.
