Add double yellows on Laurel Lane opposite Berberis Walk junction

We the undersigned petition Hillingdon Council to add double yellow lines opposite the Berberis Walk junction on Laurel Lane.

Residents from Laurel Lane have recently complained about problems with parked cars around this junction, particularly during school drop off/pick up time. Double yellow lines were added around the junction, but further double yellow lines are needed opposite the junction.

Parked cars around this junction make the flow of traffic heavily congested and dangerous. This is a very busy road due to close proximity of two primary schools, as well as the U3 Bus route.

There are always problems around this junction, the parked cars make it very difficult for buses to pass through the road, as well as for cars to exit from Berberis Walk onto Laurel Lane.

The addition of double yellow lines in this location, alongside the ones that were previously added, will reduce the traffic congestion in this area.

On reaching 20 signatures it will be formally considered by the Council and relevant Cabinet Member. Local ward Councillors will also be made aware of the petition. The Council's Democratic Services Team will keep the lead petitioner updated on progress.
